According to the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Food Safety”, an importer or his authorized representative wishing to import food and feed products, as well as materials and articles in contact with food products, into the customs territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan must send an electronic notification before these products are brought into the customs territory.

Failure to send a notification entails administrative liability of the importer.

According to the amendment to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 27, 2024, officials are fined in the amount of eight hundred manats, and legal entities are fined in the amount of one thousand five hundred manats for failure to send an electronic notification in the appropriate manner.

We would like to inform you that the article (220.10)

in connection with the aforementioned amendment

came into force on March 1, 2025

and we ask that it be taken into account when applying for import.
